JV volleyball loses 2-0 to Zama

The JV volleyball team lost in straight sets (24-26, 11-25) at Zama on Tuesday night. The Knights' record is now 4-5 this season.

Slow starts doomed the Knights in both sets, according to coach Haruka Akashi.

"Most of Zama's points tonight were from our mistakes," Akashi said. "It was a little too late when we started getting back into it."

Akashi said that the team defended and communicated pretty well, but it missed some opportunities to attack the Trojans on offense. She commented how the team "needs more hitters willing to hit the ball instead of doing the easy thing and setting it over all the time. We need to be more aggressive."

The next game for the Knights will be at ASIJ on Thursday night.
