JV volleyball drops 2-0 match at Seisen

The JV volleyball team fell 2-0 (11-25, 23-25) against Seisen on Thursday. The Knights finished league play with a 6-8 record against Kanto Plains opponents.

Coach Haruka Akashi stressed the importance of being ready to play right from the start.

"We struggled to start out well in the first set and gave away easy points from our mistakes," Akashi said. "We talked about how we cannot afford to use the first set as a warmup round."

One strong point from the Knights, however, was serving. Akashi said the team had eight service aces in the second set to keep the score very close.

The Knights will conclude their season on Saturday with the JV Tournament at ASIJ.
