MS boys' cross country places 6th at Kanto Plains Finals

CAJ's middle school cross country runners competed at Kanto Plains Finals at Tama Hills on Saturday. The middle school boys placed sixth out of seven scoring teams, and the girls did not score due to not having enough runners.

GyungWon placed 17th out of 118 middle school boy runners, finishing with a time of 13:47.3. YJ (15:00.3, 41st), Kosuke (15:14.9, 48th) Kade (15:53.3, 68th) and SeWon (17:22.6, 94th) rounded out the Knights' top five. On the girls' side, Anna placed 105th out of 112 runners with a time of 20:11.3. Five of CAJ's six competing runners earned personal-record times, and the sixth (GyungWon) was only two-tenths of a second away from achieving a personal best.

"Our middle schoolers all had excellent days after a month of not racing," coach Nate Rudd said. "They came back and really shined."

The Knights' season is done officially, but the cross country runners have the annual Fun Run on Monday right after school in the gym lobby.
