HS girls' cross country forfeits against Seisen

The high school girls' cross country team unfortunately had to forfeit against Seisen on Saturday due to a lack of healthy runners. The Knights now have a 2-4 record this season.

On the 4.4-kilometer course, all four of the team's available runners raced in the varsity race. Kiera was first for CAJ, finishing 33rd out of 72 runners with a time of 21:54.9. Anna (22:16.4, 38th), Joy (23:14.4, 45th) and Sara (26:13.6, 60th) were the rest of the Knights finishers.

Full results from the meet are available here.

"Even though we couldn't score, we still had mostly good performances from our girls," coach Nate Rudd said. "It was good to see the girls try really hard today despite the difficult heat conditions."

The Knights will run next Thursday afternoon at the Tama Hills lower course.
