HS boys' soccer defeats Aoba 7-6

The high school boys' soccer team defeated Aoba 7-6 on Thursday. The win moved CAJ's overall season record to 2-3-1, including non-league games.

Keesh Kawaguchi gave his thoughts on the game:

"As a young man, I struggled with the concept of discipline of the Lord. 'Why would the good Lord make my life miserable? Why do I have to go to school?'

As we can see in Job, the Lord our God doesn't directly answer that. We, however, read in Proverbs and Hebrews that He disciplines those He loves. A disciplined mind leads to character, character to hope as it says in Romans.

Tonight's game was a revelation of the undisciplined, self-centered and inconsistent true nature of our team.

Everything starts with me, and I will be the first to make changes in my life and approach in coaching these young men my Lord has entrusted me with.

'In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.' (Proverbs 3:6-8)"

Joshua scored four goals, while Eugene had two and Stephen had one. Go, Eugene, Caleb and Joshua each had one assist.

The Knights' next game will be at home against Zama next Tuesday.
