JV boys' basketball falls 51-15 to ASIJ

The JV boys' basketball team lost to a much bigger and more experienced ASIJ team on Tuesday by a score of 51-15. The team's season record now stands at 1-6.

"ASIJ has an all-around balanced team, so we knew that a win would be highly unlikely," coach Charles Smoker said. "But these guys like to play! Even when we're down by substantial leads, these guys don't want to come out of the game. What more could a coach ask for?"

Smoker added that the team has a lot to learn, but he feels the team made progress with its challenging game on Tuesday. CAJ was led in scoring by Ken (three points), followed closely by Hikaru, Satvik, Leif and Amon with two points apiece.

The next game for the JV boys will be on Saturday at home against NIS at 1 p.m.
