With two wins and one loss on Saturday, the varsity volleyball team finished sixth place out of 13 teams at ASIJ's YUJO Volleyball Tournament. They first beat Yokota 2-1 (21-25, 25-12, 15-6), then they lost 2-0 to Kubasaki (12-25, 15-25) before beating ASIJ's JV 2-0 (25-11, 25-23) and then losing 2-0 to ASIJ's varsity (17-25, 18-25).

Coach Tanya Hall had some brief thoughts to offer on the quartet of games:

"Against Yokota, we had some really good serves and hits that kept us in the game. We couldn't really get anything going on our side against Kubasaki. They were a much better team! Against ASIJ's JV, we served really well our first set and Annabelle had some great hits. In the second set, our receives weren't so good but we kept our composure to pull off the win. In the final game, we couldn't really keep the momentum going."

Kachel was the Knights' representative on the All-Tournament Team. The varsity team's record is now 11-6 overall this season. The next game for both the varsity and JV volleyball teams will be next Thursday at ISSH.
