Girls' soccer beats BST 4-0

The girls' soccer team started its season in style on Thursday night with a 4-0 victory at home over BST. Miyuki, Kaitlyn, Rachel and Nana each scored one goal in the game. Eunmin assisted Kaitlyn and Rika assisted Rachel.

CAJ stayed in control of possession of the ball for the majority of the game, which was played nine a side. Despite the wind favoring the Knights in only the first half, the team was able to keep the ball mostly on its offensive side of the field all game.

Coach Steve Hall noted his team's ability to "have some possession and string some passes together, and not just kicking the ball down the field and running after it."

Hall also noted that he saw many of the players show newfound confidence in their dribbling skills compared to last season. The Knights were aggressive in using those skills to maneuver around their opponents.

"One person isn't just rushing to go score. I think there's more passing," Julia also commented about the difference from last year. "I'm really excited to see how the season goes, because everyone is willing to have a learning attitude."

CAJ's record for the season is now 1-0-0. The Knights will play again on their home field against Seisen next Thursday at 5:30 p.m.. Be sure to come out and support the team!
