HS boys' soccer loses 1-0 to St. Maur

The high school boys' soccer team played in Yokohama against St. Maur on Friday evening. The Knights lost 1-0 to move their league record to 2-4-1.

There were coach Keesh Kawaguchi's words on the team following the game:

"We played our best under the circumstances given, and I am proud of my players for sticking together and doing their best. It was indeed a tough loss, since we had some good shots on goal and our defense played very well again.

Sometimes, it is just a matter of individual and collective difference that makes a difference. But life is not a race, and I am reminding my players that our Lord is patient. They ought to be patient with their own process. Things take time to build, especially if you want to do it right."

The Knights' next game will be at Yokota on Tuesday. That will be there final game before the Far East Tournament, which starts on May 22.
