Varsity volleyball completes first day of ASIJ Volleyball Invite

The varsity volleyball team won one game and lost one game on the first day of the ASIJ YUJO Volleyball Tournament on Thursday. The Knights first defeated Kadena 2-0 (25-9, 29-27), then they lost to Kinnick 2-1 (25-20, 23-25, 10-15).

Overall, the Knights now have a strong season record of 7-3. Coach Tanya Hall offered some brief comments on her team's performance in the two games:

"The first set [win] against Kadena was due to great serving. The [closer] second set score was due to our unforced errors. Against Kinnick, we had good rallies back and forth with good serving. But again, we lost because of unforced errors."

The Knights have three more games at the tournament on Friday at ASIJ. They'll play at 10 a.m. against UWC ISAK, 12:30 p.m. against ASC COBHAM and 3:30 p.m. against ASIJ.
