JV boys' basketball loses 68-15 to ASIJ

CAJ's JV boys' basketball started the evening on Friday night with a contest against the always tough ASIJ Mustangs JV. The young Knights struggled with turnovers all game long and ended up losing 68-15.

Seven different players scored for the Knights, but only Leif (three) and Zion (three) had more than two points.

"They're very inexperienced, and they're getting better little by little. But the one thing that I think will be the most helpful for them is to be able to translate what they're doing in practice to the game," Steve Hall said of his team.

While the Mustangs did have a much bigger and more athletic team, Josiah didn't make excuses for his team's big loss.
"Their height isn't really what defeated us," he said. "We need be a little bit more aggressive, attack the basket more and just be more of a threat."

The Knights now have a 1-8 record overall this season, with no wins and six losses against league teams. Their next game is against St. Maur at CAJ on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
