Girls' soccer beats St. Maur 3-0

Playing their third game since Wednesday, the girls' soccer team was able to stay undefeated on Saturday by defeating St. Maur 3-0 at home.

The Knights were able to create separation early in the game, scoring all three goals in the first half. Keziah, Kaitlyn and Miyuki all contributed a goal apiece, and Kachel assisted the goal from Kaitlyn.

Even though the Knights had finished their scoring by halftime, the thing Coach Steve Hall was most encouraged by was how the team took on a fiercer mindset after the intermission.

"Several of the girls played much more aggressively in the second half in terms of going after balls, and not being so tentative and hesitant." Hall said.

In the second half, coach Steve Hall was also glad to able to play a lot of the Knights' reserve players. He mentioned that this was helpful in allowing some of the starters to rest a bit at the end of a grueling four-day stretch.

CAJ's season is off to a great start, as the team now has a 4-0-1 record. The Knights' next game is at home against Kinnick at 5:30 p.m. next Tuesday.
