Field hockey loses 3-2 friendly match to ASIJ

CAJ's field hockey team played a friendly match at ASIJ on Thursday night, losing 3-2 in a tight match against the league champions. It was the Knights' final game of the season as an entire team.

Megumi and Grace scored the two goals for the Knights, with an assist from Alice on Grace's goal.

Coach Victor Eby made a point of getting all 22 players in the game for experience, as the match didn't have any bearing on the league standings. The four seniors on the team (DoYeon, Jiwon, Caroline and Emma) played the entire game and were honored as a part of ASIJ's celebration of all of the senior players.

"All-round there was a great spirit of sportsmanship and love for the game, and we hope to have this friendly with ASIJ again next year," Eby said.

CAJ's league All-Stars will represent the Kanto Plains next Tuesday at ASIJ in a match against Seijo University.
