Field hockey wins 4-1 against ASIJ

CAJ's field hockey team won 4-1 against ASIJ in its first game of the season on Thursday.

The Knights played this game at home with 35-minute halves and a seven-minute break between halves. According to coach Victor Eby, CAJ had more than 15 shots on goal, led by more than six each for Morgan and Rina. He added that Rina, Miyuki and Yohana led the team in defensive saves and that goalie Eunmin had five saves inside in the box.

While the Knights scored three of their goals in the second half, Eby noted that CAJ did a better job controlling in the action in the first half. In the first half, the Knights had five short corners to the Mustangs' zero, and ASIJ had six short corners to the Knights' zero in the second half.

The goal-scorers for CAJ were Rina, Reeko and Morgan. On the other Knights' goal, it was unclear which player put the ball in because it was so close to the goalie box. Eby believes it was either Morgan or Alice.

The next match for CAJ will be at home on Friday against YIS.
