Varsity boys' basketball falls 86-43 to ASIJ

Facing quite a bit of sickness, the varsity boys' basketball team fell 86-43 to powerhouse ASIJ on Tuesday night. CAJ's league record is now 3-5.

The Knights had only seven players available and faced a significant size disadvantage in this matchup with some of their taller players out. CAJ did put up a solid fight in the first half, staying within 15 points at halftime. However, ASIJ's depth and size overwhelmed the Knights after halftime.

"It was very hard to get rebounds, and they just kept getting putbacks," coach Steve Hall said. "We were pretty spent by the third quarter, and that's when they really blew the game open. We did the best that we could."

CAJ will return to ASIJ on Thursday for the Kanto Classic Tournament and will continue to play on both Friday and Saturday.
