JV volleyball takes down Yokota 2-0

The JV volleyball team bounced back from Tuesday's loss to Kinnick with a 2-0 victory over Yokota on Thursday (25-18, 25-20). The Knights' season record now stands at 2-1.

Coach Haruka Akashi said the team "was able to come together as a team and encourage each other to get the next point." She noted how the team had many good serves and aces, and that they attacked well. Akashi gave a shout-out specifically to Emi for some great serving in the second set.

Akashi noted that the team needs to keep its preferred tempo of the game. "When Yokota slowed down their movement, our girls did the same," she said. "When high serves or passes were made from the other team, the girls ended up watching the ball come to them instead of moving to it."

The Knights' next game is home against ASIJ next Tuesday, September 18.
