MS cross country team falls to Yokota

CAJ's middle school cross country runners competed on the upper 3.3-kilometer course this week for the second time this season. The middle school boys lost 18-44 against Yokota, and the girls again did not score due to not having enough runners.

GyungWon placed 6th out of 76 middle school boy runners, finishing in a time of 13:51.8. YJ (15:30.2, 15th), Kosuke (15:40.7, 20th) Kade (17:08.7, 40th) and SeWon (18:09.7, 55th) rounded out the Knights' top five. On the girls' side, Kalista was 28th out of 87 runners with a time of 16:59.9, and Anna was 74th with a time of 20:34.9. Six of the seven runners ran their personal best times on the 3.3-kilometer course, many of them by significant margins.

"It was exciting to see the middle schoolers really improve this week," head coach Nate Rudd said. "Even some of our more experienced runners had impressive improvements."
