The varsity volleyball team finished its Dig Pink fundraiser evening on a positive note by defeating Yokota 3-1 (25-11, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12). The Knights' season record is now 14-8, with a 9-4 mark in league play.

The Knights played without hitter Annabelle on Tuesday, but they were still able to stay aggressive on offense with a tweaked rotation.

"We had good hitting," coach Tanya Hall said. "Rachel was hitting really well and we had some good defensive digs."

CAJ was on the offensive for the majority of its four-set victory, but Hall notes that staying consistent in its strong play is still a point of improvement.

"We talked about, when we win a set easily, how to start the next set with the same momentum," Hall said. "We didn't do that in the second set. Those are the things we need to keep working on, keeping momentum from set to set and not just within the set."

CAJ plays at Seisen on Thursday to close out league play before going to Far East in Korea next week.
