Varsity volleyball got two wins and one loss on the second day of the ASIJ YUJO Volleyball Tournament on Friday. The Knights beat UWC ISAK 2-0 (25-17, 25-14) and ASC COBHAM 2-1 (25-14, 20-25, 15-13) before losing to ASIJ 2-0 (20-25, 26-28) to end the day.

Coach Tanya Hall saw plenty of room for improvement regarding the team's performance against UWC ISAK.

"We got totally sucked into their pace," Hall said. "There was bad serving on our part. I guess the good thing is that we won. We need to learn to be mentally ready for any opponent."

The team then improved its performance against its next two opponents.

"We played a much better game, moved well and picked up a lot of balls," Hall said. "But we made mistakes at crucial moments."

The tournament will conclude with bracket play on Saturday. CAJ's opponents are yet to be determined.
