Varsity volleyball wins one game and loses two games on final day of YUJO Tournament

The varsity volleyball team won once and lost twice on Saturday, the third and final day of ASIJ's YUJO Tournament. In bracket play, the Knights lost 2-0 (8-25, 14-25) against Kinnick, then beat Edgren 2-1 (25-15, 18-25, 15-12) before losing 2-1 against Humphreys (11-25, 25-18, 14-16).

Regarding the Kinnick game, coach Steve Hall said the team "had a number of errors in the first set, but did a better job in the second set." Hall did say that the team was able to put together three good sets in a row against Edgren and that the final match against Humphreys "allowed us to get a few things finally figured out, which should help us finish the season strong."

The Knights ended the tournament with one win and six losses, and their overall season record is now 6-13.

Both the JV and varsity volleyball teams will play at Kinnick on Tuesday evening.
