JV volleyball falls 2-1 to Yokota in tight game

The JV volleyball team lost on Tuesday to Yokota by a score of 2-1 (25-10, 16-25, 14-16) on its Dig Pink fundraiser night. The Knights' season record now stands at 6-7 with just one game remaining before the JV Tournament.

Serving was a strength for the team against the Panthers especially in the first set, according to coach Haruka Akashi.

"It was a goal we set to keep them in as much as possible. Though we missed a couple, we did much better," Akashi said.

The biggest struggle for the Knights on Tuesday was adjusting to receive good serves. Akashi discussed how the Knights need to move faster and more aggressively to the ball. She also mentioned that the team needs to "stop looking at the scoreboard and keep fighting for the next point."

CAJ plays at Seisen on Thursday to close out league play.
